“I’ve been taking 1:1 yoga classes with Kiana for 8 weeks and I’ve made enormous strides in my practice.”

“I have been taking one on one yoga classes with Kiana for only 8 weeks and I have to say that I have made enormous strides in my practice… Even in our first session together Kiana noticed the problems I was having with my forward folds and immediately told me about the need to place my body into an Anterior Pelvic Tilt. I am now able to easily touch my toes when doing a forward fold without rounding my back.

The yoga teachers who I have worked with over the past 2 years never noticed this.  The specific tips Kiana’s given me to improve my Downward Dog, Upward Dog, Chaturanga, and Warriors make me much more confident doing them. I am now able to do the vinyasa flow with great form and am having a great time practicing some of the advanced asanas such as Camel, Half Moon, Dancers, and Sugarcane based on the many specific feedback critique that she always gives me.

I also thoroughly enjoy the way Kiana splits the classes into a flexibility and a yoga practice as without flexibility, yoga can be more challenging. Kiana’s pointers about the necessity of being aware of and maintaining the Ujjayi breath in a certain way was instrumental in me being able to hold poses for a longer time.

I’m looking forward to continuing on with my “Master Your Yoga” program with Kiana!”

“Working with Kiana 1:1 has given my handstand practice just what it needed.

I was practicing handstand and jumping up for many months, only being able to hold a few seconds here and there and my practice felt stagnant.

Once I started working with Kiana, I started seeing huge improvement with my hold time. She helped me to finesse my entrances, work on important drills, and even started my press journey! I am so grateful for our time together. I look forward to more sessions in the future!”

“I took Kiana’s 12 week program and suffice to say it was exactly what my yoga practice needed. I noticed improvements in my strength and flexibility within a few weeks, and that improvement continued on until the end.

From start to finish, Kiana perfectly customized the lessons and homework based on the skills and areas I wanted to work on. Kiana always knew the exact cues my body needed to get into and stay in poses.

Kiana’s energy is always positive, supportive and joyful. She was more excited about my successes than I was! All in all Kiana guided from zero handstand to near handstand throughout the program, and that was exactly what I wanted.”

“Kiana is a wonderful coach! I signed up for 12 weeks with her basically starting from scratch after not working out for 2 years!

Over those 12 weeks, my overall strength drastically improved! My wrists improved in strength which helped me to be able to do a plank and other strength exercises with proper form due to Kiana’s correction and cues. Kiana also worked with my youngest daughter Salma and helped push her to achieve positions we had never imagined she could do.

I am so impressed with Kiana as a coach – if you are lucky enough to have her as a one-one coach, you can be assured that she will work with you no matter what level you are at and help you to achieve your personal goals! Thank you so much, Kiana!”

“Kiana has been an excellent coach guiding me through my handstand & splits progression.

I had intense fear with both of these goals but her skillful approach which includes mastery of anatomy, ability to help you gradually progress by precisely targeting areas you need to strengthen along with her empathetic, compassionate & intuitive skills as a yoga asana master with her disciplined gymnastics background make her one of the best & most dedicated coaches you will ever have. She helped me physically and also emotionally by patiently encouraging me and working with my fears.

I’ve also had the pleasure of practicing her yoga classes online and in-person and can attest both are equally effective.”

“I have been practicing yoga for almost 5 years now and, in just 6 weeks, Kiana has significantly changed my handstand practice. She understands alignment and anatomy more than any teacher I have ever known. Before coaching with Kiana, I was too afraid to kick up away from the wall. Now I know how to fall safely out of handstand and have better alignment in my shoulders, pelvis, and hips when going upside down.

I’m constantly impressed with Kiana’s technical expertise of yoga and handstands, and have never trusted a coach more in my life. Not only does she give me drills to practice handstand, but she gives me preventative drills to protect my wrists and shoulders. I’m so happy to have her as my coach – her motivation and energy always radiates through the computer screen! Couldn’t recommend her enough :)”

Kiana is an instructor second to none. You try one class and you never want to let go.”

“If you crave empowerment and improvement constantly, physically and mentally, you go to Kiana. She leads by example as the discipline and dedication she demonstrates in the practice of yoga and handstands are equally important during practice and in life.

Prior to practicing with Kiana, I thought I had felt the benefits of yoga and the synch of body, soul and mind. However, once I started practicing with Kiana, and it has been years now, I realized that all was brought to a new level.

There are no sufficient words to describe all she brings to the table – one or two sessions with her and that will likely make you see what I mean. You will get to do poses you thought were beyond reach and that affects your perspective positively at the physical and mental level.

There are things you say to yourself that you’ll never do, but discover, not only that you can, but that you enjoy immensely – that was my experience practicing online with Kiana. I discovered how effective it is.  I will keep doing my online classes.

Kiana would appear to be in the room practicing with me. You do not need to commute or get stuck in traffic and the practice is a button away. You can choose when you want to practice on the days when there’s no chance you could join a live class or just felt like practicing solo.

Now when I heard about handstand, I truly thought impossible because I have never been an acrobat or dancer or anything close to it. In my mind, the strength and balance handstand practice requires was simply beyond reach. What I discovered is that by attending Kiana’s classes regularly online, consistent practice, and patience get you step by step closer to handstand. It’s still a work in progress, but the handstand practice regardless has provided me with such an abundance of skill set and strength that I can bring it to my yoga practice.

Mentally what it has done for me is, once again, reinforce the principle that nothing is impossible with the right instructor and mindset at any age. And Kiana is an instructor second to none. You try one class and you never want to let go.”

“Kiana’s coaching has helped my physical yoga practice break the plateau barriers over and over again.”

Joe El-Achhab, Canada

“Kiana’s coaching has helped my physical yoga practice break the plateau barriers over and over again. Her ability to read the body and see where improvement is required is amazing. Her cues and corrections are specific and easy to follow making it easy to remember the next time you find yourself in that pose. Her overall knowledge of structural composition of a pose and proper alignment was critical in my improvement, she was able to guide me to a higher level of openness, flexibility and strength.

The strength shown in her own practice validates the work she puts you through and certainly motivates you to follow her lead as she guides you into a stronger practice.

Before I started practicing with Kiana, I was rigid and inflexible with a lot of strength. Since finding Kiana I have found more ease in movement, allowing me to twist, bind and be more open in each yoga pose. In parallel, Kiana was able to provide guidance, mentally and emotionally through not only my yoga practice but through different life challenging situations. She has an immediate sense of awareness, and a kind, gentle yet firm manner of helping with her words.

As for handstand, handstanding is not an easy feat. Especially since I had never tried it before meeting Kiana. Balancing upside down is a lot of work, it takes a lot of training, over and over again. If you don’t know the proper cues and alignment you could certainly injure yourself or more likely become discouraged and not want to continue training.

Kiana’s advanced knowledge of handstanding helps close the gap on getting your handstand. She can’t make you do the work or make you balance sooner as it takes everyone their own time, but she can certainly pave the path for you and make sure you are doing things correctly. She gives you all the right tips and cues before, during and after your work on your handstand.

Kiana helps you understand the effort that is required to hold a handstand, she sets you up with the proper exercises to strengthen your body so that you can hold the handstand.

I will continue to follow her handstand tips and would recommend anyone learning to handstand to see Kiana and work with her, or any individual from beginner to advanced who is willing to learn and work with her for advancement in their yoga practice.”

“I can now kick into a handstand with control and hold it in place for several seconds.”

Natasha Boulanger, Canada

Testimonial

“I started working with Kiana on my handstands at the beginning of May 2020 when she started offering more online classes.

I went into the class knowing how to kick into a handstand but it wasn’t structured and I didn’t have very much control in holding it once I got up. My back would arch a bit and I wasn’t engaging anything.

When I started taking Kiana’s classes they were tough, but AMAZING! Even with it being online she made sure to let you know if you needed correcting or if you were doing it properly. She made sure to show you how a pose should look and what not to do. The class was an eye opener to how I should be kicking into a handstand properly to gain more control along with how/which muscles I should be engaging to hold the pose without injury. She also went through warm ups prior to the class to make sure our muscles were warmed up.

Although my handstand practice is still in progress, I am now more confident in working on wall facing inversions to improve and can now kick into a handstand with control and hold it in place for several seconds.

I’m super happy with the progress I have made and would recommend it for anyone looking to improve their inversions!”

“Before Kiana I was deathly afraid of going upside down, over backwards, basically anything but being right side up, which is sometimes hard enough!

Never in a million years would I have imagined I could be doing any sort of arm balance, let alone trying headstands and handstands.

Kiana helped me find courage and strength I never thought I had. Now I am hooked on always trying new arm balances and am continuing my journey to being able to hold a handstand.

From the first time I practiced with Kiana, I loved her teaching style and the way her flows just, well, flow! Because of distance, I have not been able to attend one of her classes in quite some time.

Now, with her new Body to Soul Movement platform, I can continue to practice along with Kiana and can pick a flow according to what my body is feeling that day. I would recommend anyone to check it out!”

“I first started seeing Kiana on Instagram in 2019 along with many other yoga teachers who demonstrated postures from their practices. As I live in London UK, the possibility of actually attending a class never crossed my mind & I was only a beginner really so felt that at my age (54) the level of practice was out of my league anyway.

Then lockdown hit the UK in March 2020….suddenly the world changed. I was already dealing with a broken heart & yoga had become my medicine, now this isolation was threatening to flip everything. Of course I reached for the grounding presence of yoga practice again.

Kiana was offering free zoom yoga sessions for a period and I took advantage of those, but carried on with the online group sessions for a while after that. I found that her teaching style was inclusive & empowering. The clear instructions given made the transitions easy to get to grips with. Even via an online platform the vocal adjustments to my alignment have made a tremendous improvement to my overall practice, and my confidence as a yogi.
I have always struggled with the tightness of my hips, when I started I couldn’t even sit crossed legged properly, so pigeon even was an almost no go. With continued encouragement, being given achievable modifications to suit my challenges, I am able to move my body now into positions I didn’t think were possible. I now feel I can achieve anything.
I have also become a keen listener to Kianas podcasts ‘Soul Talks’ which have been very healing on many levels to my broken heart, but also elevated my own connection to self love & spiritual growth. Definitely aided my personal recovery as well as making this weird phase in the world’s history much more bearable.
Kiana, I appreciate you and all you do  massively!”

“My love for yoga began 5 years ago when I completed a one month trial at a local studio.

I loved the practice and the atmosphere. However, despite a relatively consistent practice, I never felt like I was growing as a yogi.

In 2019 my fitness journey began to change and I developed an interest in not only increasing my yoga practice but specifically working on my inversions. I tried using online videos and tutorials but never felt like I was able to truly understand where my focus was meant to be or how to improve.

In January 2019 I attended my first class with Kiana. I could see right away that
Kiana was dedicated to helping her students develop their confidence regardless of where they were in their journey. Kiana has a great tradition of choosing a peak focus in all of her classes to help her students develop new skills or challenge themselves by exploring the explicit mechanics of more difficult asanas. The peak pose in my first class happened to be headstand. After a few months of trying but feeling little improvement, Kiana had me more confident in headstand after one quick explanation. Furthermore, Kiana was open to additional questions after class and even offered a few minutes of one on one support. After this experience I was hooked.

I began following Kiana on Instagram and using many of her mini tutorials offered on her page. From that day, I went to 2 of Kiana’s classes every week and continued to see not only further improvements to my physical practice but growing confidence in my mental practice.

When Covid hit and the gym was forced to close Kiana was amazing – offering 2 weeks of free online classes. She then began a very straight forward system of class passes, monthly’s or one off payments so her many yogis could continue to grow with her. This is when I began focusing more heavily on handstands with Kiana. I attended her weekly online handstand classes for 6 weeks and watched as my physical strength continued to grow as did my confidence in my inversions. Her ability to clearly explain the specific mechanics involved in both traditional asanas and a variety of other movements and her attentiveness to each individual student makes her an incredible instructor, whether in person or virtually. She is easily the best fitness instructor I have ever had!”

“Kiana is the kind of teacher that makes you believe in yourself and that you can reach your goals, and when she sees her students progress its always recognised which is huge for the student!

Her classes are so much fun, never the same, its always exciting trying to figure out what we will be doing. Kiana’s classes are planned out so carefully that by the end of it, and when you reach the peak pose and you do the pose you never thought you could, you leave the class walking in clouds.

She has a very grounding energy which i really admire and look forward to being a part of!

Thank you Kiana for being such an inspiration and for being a wonderful teacher and showing me the correct steps to get to where I want in my practice!”

“I was able to realize which parts of my body I needed to focus my attention on for better alignment.”

Anna Saldivar, Canada

“I have been practicing yoga for several years and handstands are something that I have always been wanting to do. I’ve been to yoga classes in the past where there were a few drills that we did to work up to it, but there wasn’t really a focus on doing the actual pose especially in terms of alignment.

Over the years, I have been able to do handstands against a wall but never a freestanding handstand. When I trained online with Kiana, I learned more drills that I could do to help with my handstand practice, and what’s even greater is that with her coaching, I was able to realize which parts of my body I needed to focus my attention on for better alignment.

Kiana’s classes are well thought out with no two classes ever the same, and the succeeding classes built up on what I learned in previous classes. I learned from her that I needed to know how to fall out of my handstand in order to be more confident in doing a freestanding handstand, so falling out was one of the things that we worked on in the first few classes. She is also great in that she emphasizes that flexibility, strength, and core training are important for handstands, to which these are included in her classes as well. She is very encouraging and I am glad that I have been able to train with her.

At the present, I’m now working on holding a freestanding handstand for longer than two seconds. I can definitely see a lot of improvement in how I get to the pose and how my alignment is now in the pose.

Thank you, Kiana!”

“First of all, Kiana is an AMAZING teacher.

I love the way she conducts her classes and makes everyone feel comfortable.

Before attending her handstand workshop, I had a pretty consistent handstand practice. What I was most struggling with were my press-ups. I really didn’t know what my next steps were, especially what drills to incorporate into my practice to target my handstand press.

Then, I took Kiana’s zoom workshop and was blown away at all of the drills that I a) had never seen before, and b) found to be incredibly helpful. Even though it was over zoom, it was still just as effective as an in-person class.

I would highly recommend Kiana’s teaching and all of her classes and workshops!”

“Fitness has always been a big part of my life, and yoga has been my main focus for the past 7 years.
For me, yoga is really much more than just getting an exercise class in.  It was about calming the mind and helping me deal with stress in a healthy way. I started to take Kiana’s classes three years ago and all things changed with my yoga practice.  What first drew me to Kiana’s classes was the physicality of her classes but then it became so much more.
While things were shut down I decided to try out Kiana’s online classes. I have to tell you that at first I was not sure about online yoga, but all it took was one online class and I was hooked. During the shut down, I was taking two to three online classes with Kiana. I felt like I was in the studio while never leaving the comfort of my home.
Kiana’s classes have helped with me being able to pay attention to detail. She has helped my alignment, my strength and my flexibility. She has given me the confidence to try inversions. Kiana is the guru of handstands and although I am not there yet, one day it may happen.  I have learned from taking Kiana’s classes to check my ego at the door. There is so much to learn be it from the physical, mental or emotional side.  I absolutely love going to Kiana’s classes.”

“Kiana is the kind of teacher who motivates yogis to go for any “dream” pose. She has an amazingly strong self-practice, knowledge, and a wonderful ability to explain precisely how to safely approach any yoga pose. Her guidelines for where to place your hands, feet, gaze, etc. are meticulous and accurate. She knows exactly how a specific pose should feel and how your body and muscles should be engaged.
Kiana can lead anyone through preparation and warm up to perform and achieve any desired pose. I personally struggled with forearm stand and headstand. Although I don’t have fear going up-side down, slight tightness in my shoulders prevented me from taking this particular pose.
Thankfully, Kiana’s knowledge and friendly / easygoing approach motivated me to take a chance. Her examples of stretches targeting specific areas that need to be prepared for these poses made wonders. I can now just focus on making my forearm stand and headstand more graceful!
Yoga is an on-going practice, but having the opportunity to meet a teacher like Kiana makes this journey much more interesting and enjoyable.”

“I have been physically active since University with a lot of time spent in gyms, weight training and teaching spinning. Yoga has always been something I’ve meant to add to my fitnss routine, but never quite made time for seriously until this past year.

After a few injuries resulting in chronic joint and low back pain, I finally decided to incorporate more flexibility training into my fitness structure. But I never realized it would become so much more than just another physical milestone.

I am still a beginner yogi, but absolutley love yoga and have been really inspired by Kiana. Her teaching style is always supportive and encouraging and she is an engaging instructor focused on individual growth and development. Her unique
classes are also a lot of fun with some great music and energy.

Kiana’s yoga classes encourage me to look forward to every pose, every breath and every part of my day. It’s made me feel more confident, and although I have a long way to go, more positive about my health and my body. And I have experienced huge benefits with my flexibility practice already.

It’s also been a great thing to bond over with my teenage daughter – who also loves Kiana’s classes and takes them regularly with me. This has been an amazing experience for me and I feel deeply grateful for the opportunity to participate in this journey with her.”

“I discovered Kiana about 4 months ago, through her inspiring posts and flawless poses in her posts on Instagram. I decided to follow her and was impressed with the daily pictures I was seeing. When I took a look at her website, I was quite impressed with her yoga journey and goal of wanting to help and teach others.

When I took a look at her different offerings, I noticed that she was very experienced (an expert) with handstands. This is something I wanted to learn for a while, so I decided to dive deeper in looking into her classes. I found out she was offering weekly online classes, specifically for handstands, so I decided to participate in some of these classes. After taking 1 or 2 of Kiana’s handstand classes, I am now able to set up and go into a handstand. I am still working on making it steadier and taking it away from the wall.

I also took a few of her flow classes online. I liked how upbeat it was, and how there were a variety of poses and sequences than those I’ve done before. It is refreshingly different from some other instructors in the community, who may be following the same routine or sequence of poses based on the type of yoga they’re teaching. It’s also really unique that all her flows and practices, on and off the internet, progress to doing a handstand.

Before discovering Kiana’s practice, I had a regular yoga practice, which involved doing poses and sequences on my own or following instructions online via other instructors. However, this previously did not involve handstands. Being able to do, and having a daily practice of, handstands, is one big addition to my practice, since I started practicing with Kiana.

Another big influence Kiana has had on my practice is through enabling myself to be aware of proper alignment in respective poses, therefore taking my time to progress into a pose. This helped me understand the importance of activating the correct muscles to increase range of motion and flexibility, and of focus and concentration during the yoga practice. This is nicely done through her verbal instructions, and hints from her videos and diagrams.

Kiana is very well rounded in her yoga practice, and in addition to her spiritual/life lessons discussions on her posts, she does a regular podcast, called “Soul Talks”. The chosen topics can be anything from what she may be going through or experiencing, or a general interpersonal or intrapersonal topic. She provides her own examples and experiences, which helps to relate to such topics. I enjoy listening to and reflecting on these discussions. It definitely helps to understand the connection between the body and mind.

Seeing Kiana’s posts and podcasts, and presence brings a nice light of energy everyday, and motivation to try something new!”

“During quarantine, I stumbled upon Kiana’s instagram and saw she was a former gymnast and yoga teacher offering a handstand workshop. As my own handstand progress had stalled, I immediately jumped at the chance to get even a little bit of feedback.

I was shocked at how much I got out of Kiana’s workshop – my handstands immediately began to improve, and I was becoming more and more comfortable being upside down, thanks to some great coaching! I began to take Kiana’s weekly handstand class, and I was shocked at how much personal attention was paid to each participant in every workshop or class, especially considering it was done via Zoom!

Kiana is an incredible teacher and coach, and is able to correct the smallest of postural alignment problems, leading to big improvements in form.

I am so thankful I have had the opportunity to take Kiana’s online class, and I am looking forward to doing more in the future!”

“As a new person to yoga, Kiana is the yoga teacher I didn’t know I was looking for!

I happened to take one of Kiana’s classes at a studio and was instantly hooked. Kiana’s ability to mesh strength, balance and creative transitions into a yoga class always left me feeling recharged and motivated for the next one.

I also enjoyed Kiana’s focus and passion for inversions and handstands, a passion that I think can be quite infectious; I know it was for me. After some time taking classes, I felt I would benefit with some focused instruction on transitions, certain poses and of course inversions and handstands!

I asked Kiana about her one-to-one program that she offers, and after a consult, we decided to start; Kiana took the time to begin with a chat about what I would find most meaningful to focus on and created a customized plan with everything we discussed.
Our one-to-one sessions were invaluable; Kiana was able to correct and cue changes that I would never have otherwise noticed.
Kiana is patient, knowledgeable, approachable and encouraging which made me, as a complete beginner, feel comfortable and confident when trying new things. My handstands are still in progress but I know with Kiana’s ongoing support and guidance I will reach my goals.”

“My yoga experience with Kiana has been nothing short of amazing.

In my previous yoga experiences, I was not able to open and channel energy as easily as I’ve felt recently. I find she really pushes me to stretch beyond what I thought was possible and always offers a variety of movements to keep the routine interesting.

As for my handstand poses, they have really improved with the guidance and patience of Kiana. I think her passion and experience really translates in her teachings.

Through Covid, it was amazing to do her yoga lessons online. I felt very comfortable and connected. This is a great option anytime I am unable to make it to the studio. That offers the ultimate flexibility and I can always be sure not to miss my favourite classes. Looking forward to continuing my practice, growing and learning spiritually, emotionally and physically.”

“I embarked on a handstand journey this May 2020. It was 2 months into a global pandemic and my family was sheltered in home. We weren’t going anywhere so I thought it was the perfect time to pursue a new skill… and childhood dream.

I had always wanted to be able to hold a freestanding handstand. I could handstand against a wall and then immediately fall at the thought of the wall leaving my feet.

I found Kiana through rave reviews by one of my friends, who had taken classes with her in the past. She sent me one of Kiana’s instructional instagram videos and I was instantly connected and engaged. Kiana’s demeanor on camera was calm and friendly, yet direct and professional. She demonstrated instant expertise; cue-ing movements and pointing out common mistakes and bad habits preventing the perfect form to successfully handstand. I was intrigued!

I signed up for a virtual handstand class and attended her weekly online handstand class for the next few months. Every initial impression I had of her was true. She is patient and thoughtful and takes the time to observe each student throughout the class, offering small changes and iterations to help you really understand how to improve your technique and form. Despite requiring the attention of several students, she gives you one-on-one attention akin to a personal instructor.

So, how am I doing 4 months later? Much to my delight, I can successfully handstand and fall out of one without injury! I am now working towards holding it for more than 5 seconds, which I am confident I can do with practice.

Kiana has given me the confidence and agency to continue my handstand practice by breaking down the technique in ways that are easy to understand and improve upon. I’d recommend her to anyone looking to learn or improve their handstand, press, or yoga skills. She is highly skilled and experienced, yet also an exceptional teacher – a combination not always easy to come by.”

“Prior to meeting Kiana, I was a mess. I was involved in a yoga teacher training and was treated poorly. I had lost all hope in every yoga instructor and in the yoga practice itself.

When I met Kiana, that all changed. Kiana is different in an exceptional way.

Regarding my consultation, she had this warm energy and addressed all of my concerns with care.

During our sessions, her explanations of alignment were so easy to understand and her tips were extremely useful. For example, my downward dog used to be incredibly uncomfortable so Kiana recommended that I keep my neck relaxed, that my elbows remain straight, and that I externally rotate my arms. Eventually, downward dog became easier. Another example of this was dancers pose. Breathing and holding poses were extremely difficult for me to hold at the same time so Kiana advised that I inhale to ‘create space’ and exhale to ‘go deeper’ into the pose. Each session was insightful and she pushed me to my full potential. Some days were tedious and when I would end up frustrated, she would encourage me to keep trying.

What I love about Kiana is that she’s absolutely real and accessible. Most instructors will take your money and run but she puts in so much passion and love into her work.

It took months of searching for an ideal instructor that could understand me and my struggles. I am proud to say that Kiana is someone I want to continue working with. She is an absolute gem and I highly recommend her to anyone who is seeking to improve their practice.”

“I love Kiana’s instructional style! She is encouraging, challenging, smart, and most of all effective. Her laid back personality makes it feel like a friend teaching and guiding. As a yoga teacher, I’m always looking at ways to challenge my body. Kiana took my handstand training to the next level. After the first couple of weeks, I already felt an improvement!  I had experienced doing handstands in the past, but my practice was not focused and structured. I was stuck, lacking direction and needed a forward process. Her coaching taught me a good solid foundation that I now incorporate into my regular practice. I learned drills that increased my strength, alignment and confidence. I finally learned to stack my body and joints that allowed me to balance in space. It felt amazing!!!

I feel that I am learning about the complexities of handstands in ways that are making permanent changes to my movement and understanding of my body. These last few weeks have been so rewarding and I am stoked with the progress. I am excited to see where my training takes me in the weeks ahead. Not only am I personally benefiting but it has enhanced my yoga teaching as well. I love sharing the tips, tricks and drills with my students.

Her coaching inspired me to continue to explore and train in all the handstand variations! I am so grateful that I invested in her 1:1 training. I thank her for helping me with this personal challenge and would highly recommend Kiana to anyone who wants to reach their desired goals.”

“There were two reasons I chose Kiana as an instructor. One was to improve my physical health. I recently left active duty with a few injuries including sciatica, hip tendinitis, a bilateral knee injury, and a foot injury. I was determined not to give up my favorite sport of weightlifting and was willing to try anything and everything to gain back my abilities and overcome my injuries. Kiana helped me not only gain my mobility back but exceed what I thought I was capable of. She certainly believed in me far more than I did myself and pushed me to unforeseen abilities and confidence.

The second reason I chose Kiana was to improve my mental health. Without going into too much detail I had read that yoga is often prescribed to people suffering from PTSD in order to bring mindfulness to the body as well as to thoughts and emotions. Kiana’s ability to spot areas that were tense on my body and needed relaxing, the breathing techniques that she taught me, and the guided meditations are something I have used and will continue to utilize and be mindful of going forward.

Overall my expectations were greatly exceeded with Kiana. She was able and willing to work around my busy schedule even though we were hundreds of miles apart and in different timezones without the slightest hesitation. I highly recommend anyone from beginners to even the most advanced individuals to give her an opportunity to coach you. Kiana goes far beyond just yoga. You will not be disappointed!!!!”

“I don’t think I could have progressed as much as I have with any other yoga teacher.”

“Having recently completed Kiana’s customized 12-week online yoga program, my message is simple: if you like yoga, train with Kiana, and if you haven’t tried yoga, do it with Kiana!

I was in the latter category several months ago when I made the decision to sign up.  As a total newcomer to yoga in my 40’s, I was searching for something that would help improve my flexibility and mobility.  Although I’ve always been active with sports like tennis and skiing, and while I enjoy lifting weights and cardio workouts, I had never attempted yoga out of concerns that I was too stiff or too busy and it would be a waste of my time and money.

Practicing with Kiana has completely changed my perspective.  Kiana is incredibly knowledgeable, observant, and positive.  I love her customized classes, “homework” between sessions, and her ability to explain things to me in a way that I can understand.

I don’t think I could have progressed as much as I have with any other yoga teacher. I’m surprised how quickly I’ve improved and I’m enjoying all of the positive benefits associated with my practice: more energy, flexibility, and a calmer mind.  From not being able to squat lower than my knees or touch my toes, I can now do a full squat AND touch my toes! My mobility has increased immensely.

I highly recommend Kiana to anyone who is interested in taking their practice to the next level!”

“Over the past 5 months, I have progressed in ways that I could not have imagined before and started to perform tripod headstand.”

“I started practicing yoga for the first time around July 2021. My only motivation was to perform inversions, specifically headstand and handstand variations. I have gained some degree of flexibility and mobility over almost a year on my own. Nevertheless, I could not make any specific progress on inversions. The moment I attempted to do tuck position, I was feeling pain on my neck, back or legs. I started to think that my body might not be convenient for the inversions. And eventually my last attempt in June caused a back pain which lasted almost a month. I was about to give up on my dream with the feeling of failure. It was the moment I came across one of the videos of Kiana giving some tips on headstand.

Her guidance in the video was clear, her tips were just spot on and well-supported with her visual demonstration. At that moment, I decided to contact Kiana for a private session. We started our first lesson by the end of June and since then we have been working together. Kiana has tremendous experience in the field. She provides incredible guidance that helped me to unlock my own physical and mental limitations. Over the past 5 months, I have progressed in ways that I could not have imagined before and started to perform tripod headstand.

If you are keen to perform variations of inversions, but you think that your body and/or skills may not enable such a practice or performance and you are tired of feeling failure or frustration, then it is time for you to meet with Kiana. She is going to guide you through your journey and you’ll see that you can succeed. The taste of improvement and success is priceless. Give yourself that opportunity, because you deserve it.”

“Handstands are something I never thought I was capable of doing but really wanted to do. I decided to try Kiana’s handstand program hoping to make some progress towards it, and by the end I was able to hold a freestanding handstand. Besides learning how to handstand, I gained so much strength, confidence, and body awareness going through Kiana’s program.

I started the program as a complete beginner. I could not kick up to the wall, had low upper body strength, and had a fear of falling. Kiana met me at my level, creating a customized and progressive program for me. With her guidance I was able to build my strength, and slowly became more comfortable being upside down. She taught me how to safely kick up and fall out of a handstand, as well as how to hold a handstand with correct alignment. If I was not able to do a certain technique, she would improvise new drills and break things down even further until I was able to get it. During sessions she gives targeted adjustments and corrections that help you advance and progress in the skill you are working on. I made many breakthroughs during the sessions just by making the adjustments she suggested.

Kiana has been so great to work with and I’m grateful I had the opportunity to learn from her. Even though I achieved my goals for now, I would definitely work with her again to continue to improve my handstands. I can’t recommend her enough as a teacher if you are looking to see progress and results.”
